Alright, you and your partner have been together for a while and you both feel so in sync with each other. You can’t imagine your life without them. You love them with your entire being. You want to spend the rest of your life with this person.
Does this sound like you? If you’re ready to propose, then you’ve come to the right place.
I’m gonna give you all of the tips and ideas on how to propose and what to include in your proposal.

The Ring.
First things first, you’ll need to get the ring.
Now, this is important. This ring will be on your partner’s hand for the rest of your lives together, so you’ll want to make sure the ring will be something they love. A good way to find out what kind of ring they want is to go to their Pinterest page or ask their friends and family if they’ve ever mentioned the type of ring they would like. Another way to do this is to go ring shopping with them and have them pick out a few styles they would like.
You don’t need to spend a fortune on the ring. There are plenty of different options out there for rings that are beautiful but won’t break your budget.

One option for an engagement ring is going with an opal engagement ring. Opal rings are conflict free engagement rings that are unique and tend to be cheaper than diamond engagement rings.
Another option is to go with a smaller diamond and pair it with a unique band to allow the diamond to stand out.
Sapphires, emeralds and rubies are another unique engagement ring idea. They stand out with their unique colors and make a great statement piece.
Lastly, if you’re looking for an alternative option, you can always go to a pawn shop and find unique and vintage pieces if that fits your partner’s personality.
The Planning.

Planning a proposal can be overwhelming. There are so many different options and ways of doing the proposal itself that it can be difficult to start the planning process.
Think about your partner. Think about their personality and what type of proposal would be the best fit for them. Are they introverted or extroverted? Do they enjoy having family and friends be a part of big moments? What type of activities do you enjoy doing together the most? What would be the best date ever for the two of you?
Once you answer these questions, this will help you get started.
If your partner is more introverted and would prefer this moment to be private between the two of you, it would not be the best idea to have the proposal in front of a crowd of people.
Think about the proposal as the most perfect date for the two of you. You can make an entire day out of the occasion.
You can even hire professionals to help you with your proposal.
I definitely suggest hiring a photographer first (I might be a little biased on this one). You can also hire a proposal planner to help you plan and execute your proposal.

A few other vendors you could hire for the occasion:
A florist
A balloon sculpture artist
A live painter
A videographer
Proposal Ideas.
You might be having a hard time coming up with an idea for your proposal. Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.
I’ve created a list of ways to propose below. There’s simple proposals, grand gestures and also super unique proposal ideas. Use these ideas to get started and tweak them to be unique to you and your partner.
The Simple “Walk in the Park”
You can simply just go for a walk in your favorite park together and find your “spot” and pop the question there. If you have any vendors set up for this one, make sure they know where your “spot” will be.
The Fourth of July Proposal
This one would be with friends and family in attendance! You could have a fun day at the lake and grill up your favorites for dinner. After dinner, when the sun goes down, the firework shows can start. This is when you would pop the question – with the fireworks going on in the back and your friends and family hanging out around you. So special!

The Set Up
This one requires a bit more planning and possibly help from vendors in the area. You may even need to rent out the venue you’re proposing in.
This proposal would take place in an indoor or outdoor location that is special to the two of you. You would have a cute little set up for this – whether it be candles, pictures, an arch or whatever feels unique to you guys. You would have some story of why you’re going to this place together and this would be where you would pop the question.
Other ideas:
On a boat
In the place you met
In your house
In your backyard
On the beach
Your favorite coffee shop
Your favorite vacation spot
Set up a “just because” photo shoot

The Proposal.
Now that you’ve planned your proposal, it’s time to do the damn thing!

You might be feeling a little nervous about this, don’t be! Just take a deep breath. Your partner is going to love what you’ve come up with. This will be one of the greatest moments of your lives, enjoy every second of it.
The biggest tip I can give you for this occasion is to make it about the two of you, make it personal. Tell the story of the two of you, what you’ve been through to get to this moment, why you love them, what you love about them, tell them everything. Then, this is where you ask them to spend forever with you. And when they say yes, it will be the best feeling ever.
I can’t wait to hear your proposal story. Use this as a way to tell the story of you two together. It’s a magical experience where you’ll start the next chapter of your story.
